Is BIOS support for a Celeron II important ?

Reason being i've got an LX board that can support voltages down to 1.3 so that's not a problem, is just that there's no update that mentions the new cellys. I know with K6-2 and such that if the BIOS doesn't support the CPU there are utils you can get to enable the extra features. Anything like that available / needed for a new celly ? cheers :)

I guess it depends on what you call a Celeron II. There is no such thing. I would think you should be OK as long as you have the Vcore support. What mobo is it?

alright, to be totally clear its a 766 / 66 FCPGA celeron that uses a Coppermine 128k core. Needs 1.65 volts and the mobo goes down to 1.3 so should b ok there. Mobo is Aopen AX6LC . Thanks for ur help!

Oh...UK....

Sometimes there is no concrete info on what you want to do. You just have to try it and hope for the best. Good luck with it!
