the latest thing he referenced in his tape was the London attacks, so he was at least alive up to that event....

I think that CNN said something about the date of the tape being Dec 6, so he's been alive for at least that long.

I vote yes. He is just a boogy man to keep the war machine going, Those tapes are probably made by the CIA. Who has the most to gain from the new tape considering the message and timing?

Do you ever stop to think about some of the stuff you say? You have no proof of what you say...and yet you say it anyway.

Sooner or later Bin Laden will die---by natural causes or by resisting capture.

Its my understanding that he is diabetic--a rather severe case--and hence getting quality medical care is an extra problem.------but I have to feel Bin Laden is more of a front man---and while we watch him others are doing the dirty work-----Al-Quida will go on with or without Bin Laden.

And the Bush administration is by in large playing into Al-Quida hands by becoming a symbol of power unregulated.--------as the US ignores all ethical constraints in an attempt to get just one man.----and destroys its own economy in the process.

Actually I personally would not be all that surprised if this was the truth. Modern war is not only based in guns and bombs - it is an info war. Bin Ladin is required to keep the focus of the American people.

Not to mention, this would not be the first time the CIA has operated at this level.

Not true. As long as Ayman al-Zawahiri is alive. People forget about him, Bin laden is just the money and marketing, al-Zawahiri is the man behind him. He's been in the game far longer than bin Laden.

In the game longer? This is no game. And al-Zawahiri wasn't so much in the game as he was the brains of the global movement. Bin Laden was the money bags, not the brains of the movement. Mr. al-Zawahiri had to have a OBL to launch his movement into the inner political circles across the Arab League. If not for the large support from the elite of the Middle East there never would of been a successful al Queda movement.

It doesn't matter if he has proof, or even if it's true. The fact that it's possible makes it important to think about.

I was expressing my opinion, I thought that was clear. Did you read the original question? "What are your thoughts?" It does not say present proof that Osama is dead/alive. Maybe you guys should read the post before you jump on people.
