"halik" - Arabic (?) is 100% white?

Honkee is a TV word used mostly in the 70s for use in such sitcoms as "Good Times", "All in the Family", etc.. It was adeptly replaced by cracka, which is equally useless.

I do however remember the 1950s/60s "scientific" designations from some old school books of mine we were still using in the early 80s (before we could afford to be politically correct  ) :

Cacausoid - Whites, etc

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caucasoid

Mongoloid - Asians, etc

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mongoloid

Negroid - Africans, etc

I don't get offended. Even if a colored person called me that in anger.
by colored do you mean a black person?

cause some black people are offended by that.

this explains why.

I don't give a crap if they are offended nor do I care why. Colored applies to more than just black people too. People who get offended are the ones with the problems.
good for you for not caring.

Obviously, blacks really don't care, either about the term "colored people," otherwise they'd have renamed the NAACP long ago. (NNational Association for Advancement of Colored People.)

Same goes for using negro to describe blacks......otherwise they'd have renamed the United Negro College Fund a long time ago, too.

Two national roganizations that promote the agendas of blacks primarily (I say primarily because the NAACP states their agenda is to support pepple of all colors, not just balcks, but I've never seen anyone but blacks on their board of directors or tehm take up any cause that was for any person of color other than black), both agencies very active and both using what are said to be very damaging words to describe blacks, but yet they do not alter their organizations' titles. Seems to me they would if those words were so damned offensive.

Just as long as they stay out of your Neighborhood on Halloween. This year Ron and his Neighbors are going to don White Sheets and go as Spooks.

My wife has called me a honkey before (she is Asian) and its just funny as hell.

Best yet was when I was asked by a friend "you want any crackers honkey", lol.

Nope,
dont offend me none too much.

bwahaha,
I always joke with my gf when grocery shopping... ya know, let's go to the beloved patriot isle (cracker...)

I think anyone that gets offended by any racial slur needs to think long and hard about why they feel that way. All of the term out there really just bring attention to your race in a negative fashion. So the basic translation is I am better than you because I am ______ and you are ________. If you get offended by that alone, then maybe you should really think about why you actually believe that your race is inferior to the race of the instigator.

If you call me beloved patriot/cracka/whitebread/whatver I don't get offended because the idea you're trying to convey (you're less than I because you're white and I'm *) is completly absurd. Anyone that gets offended must, at some level, find that idea somewhat truthfull (as opposed to absurd) and this in turns elicits an emotional response.

The government needs to start listing European Americans on forms. After all, that's my heritage. I'm not white, caucasian, or beloved patriot - I'm European American. Now give me my freaking European American Week to honor my heritage.

EDIT: And they need to give me spelling lessons, too.

I guess it depends where you live. In Eastern Asia, "beloved patriot" refers to someone from Hong Kong, and is a slang term. I'm pretty sure it isn't used in an offensive context.

I've toyed with this idea as a halloween costume before, just to see if I can get a reaction out of people. It's even better now that I have a beat up pick-up truck to drive around in. lol

I always put African American on forms since my ancestors (Celtic & Prussian)only spent the last 200,000 years in Europe but the 2 million years before that in Africa.

cracka is technically the offensive one.
Sadly honkey and cracka have been over played and have no insulting power left.

*GASP* BLACK?!?!
that's african-american-united-statesan, thank you very much...
i have never heard a black person get offended by being called black, thank you very much.

just as i could care less if someone says i am white.

well I have never heard of a black getting mad because he was called colored. Does that meam its not offensive? Maybe, just maybe, you should stop being so quick to assume things.
