Since when can you buy directly from a brewery? Unless we are talking about microbreweries.

i live in driving distance to two brewerys... Coors Brewery & Aneheiser Busch.. Taken the visitor tour many times.

Neither of them sell beer on premise (except in their "snack bar/visitor center" .. then its by the pint)

Of course there is liquor stores & convenience stores across the street.. they sell cases... some even have signs "the freshest <beer> you can buy" ... and the price is the same (or higher) than in the supermarkets.

Unless you're a distributor...

no.

I've never seen a brewery that sells cases like you buy from resellers, but most of the breweries I've visited sell growlers, large, half-gallon bottles that they'll fill for you to take home and enjoy.

Yes for microbreweries. I always get my cases directly from our local one, no deposit on the bottles (but I can still turn them in and get the deposit) and it is only $1 a bottle, versus $2 a bottle at any of the local stores that sell it.

I've been to a few local microbreweries, but was disappointed that beer wasn't any cheaper buying it directly from them vs. just going to a beer distributor.

Fun fact:
The most expensive gas station in Torrance is the one on the corner of a refinery.

You can if you live by the Corona brewery in Mexico. Bring in your used Corona bottles and refill them for cheap
