Is Battlefield BC:2 playable on our computers?

You will be fine. Check my sig. Before my 6870, I was using an 8800 GTS (g92 version) and it ran well. The only issue I had was an occasional stutter from what I assumed was texture swapping due to my limited 512 MB of video RAM.

Good to know. The game just finished downloading from Steam.

Does BC2 have a single player mode?

Yep, and so far its pretty good. One hour into the SP and I keep having to put it down! :-(
