Is Bacardi 151 the most caloric efficient way to get drunk?

69 calories a shot, compared to about 60 for other liquors..but nearly twice the alcoholic content.

For us health nuts that like to get drunk then, is 151 the best way to do it?

I think that's the kind of alcohol that makes you go blind.

Actually, I believe the fastest way to get drunk is to inject your booze... Not that I'd know of course.

You did say caloric efficient.

Caloric efficient drunkenness = Only consume calories from alcohol. Everclear has nearly 26% more alcohol by volume than 151. Rest assured you get no non alcohol derived calories.

BTW, I wouldn't recommend drinking Everclear straight. I've tasted it (when already thoroughly trashed) and it is positively wicked.

I've seen Nik do a double shot of pure Everclear, you know how he turned out.

On a side note I don't think the figure you're quoting for 151 is accurate. It simply can't be.

Everclear nasty? Not really...it doesn't have much of a taste. If you don't want to drink it straight, just mix it with some kool-aid made with splenda.

Enema. Squat down on the bottle neck until it's nice and tight then do a hand stand for a few minutes ; )

No, I haven't done it and I don't plan to but there was a recent case in the news about an old alcoholic that died from a sherry enema. I just don't feeling like running "sherry enema" through google right now.

the most caloric efficient way to get drunk would be pure alcohol in an IV directly to your veins. oh and a second IV taking out your blood to increase the alcohol/blood ratio...

Are people just ignorant, or just too lazy to do a little research? (not directed only to you Viper)

http://www.drinksmixer.com/desc185.html

Everclear is 26% more alcohol, but nearly 3 times the calories. An equivalent amount of 151 in terms of alcohol per 1oz serving of Everclar would yield just 87 calories.

87 < 190

Therefore, 151 will put more alcohol in your body in a given amount of calories than pretty much anything else I've ever seen..

According to the formula in the link, 151 has 120 calaries per 1 oz. serving

100-proof alcohol = 50% alcohol
200 proof alcohol = 100% alcohol

The Caloric content of liquors is calculated by this formula:
0.8 X proof X ounces = Calories

So, for example, 6 ounces of 50 proof alcohol provides:
0.8 X 50 X 6 = 240 Calories

I have been looking for this for a long time.
Thanks!
