Is axolotl the funniest looking animal that I can own as a pet?

I've wanted some axolotls ever since I learned that they exist. I'm finally ready to start purchasing aquarium equipment, but I wanted to make sure there isn't a funnier looking animal out there that will make me regret my purchase.

Frilled lizard, I don't think they are that big.

Maybe the frilled is the Australian one, is another dragon thing running around.

Not up on things these days I guess, I used to have any fish tanks and varies odd pets at one time.

That's a bearded dragon. They're also from Australia. One of the easiest reptile pets to own IIRC.

The name is a misnomer because it's actually a brackish fish, and it isn't related to the lionfish at all.
