Is ATI's Radeon 9700 Pro Compatible with Mandrake 8.2 or 9.0?

Not quite yet, but it will be. The 9700 is a brand new card so ATI is giving preference to Windows ME/2000/XP right now.

Do you know how to make the Radeon 9700 work in mandrake 9.0 ?
I tried at least in 2D by selecting the 8500 drivers but it doesn't work. I must use the generic vesa drivers that force 60 hz and 1280 max res. ;(
