Right now/today may be especially hectic guys. The Barcelona launch was today, and I don't think I need to describe to this crowd how anxious everyone has been for that. If we hear of anything more specific from the datacenter guys, we'll let you know.

its really slow. taking like 20 seconds to load a thread, another 20 to load the reply screen, and another 20-30 to post.

I'm running Kaspersky, and since yesterday, I don't have to disable it in order to access these forums. Maybe the compatibility issue has been fixed?

For me every few hours I can't even get to the site.

I have Norton 360. Never had this problem before. Also note, there are several other random sites I cannot connect to as well. www.chase.com being one of them as well.

I can right now though. For the past 10-15 minutes though it was a no go.

Loading Anandtech has been slow for months every time I've visited here. I've never used Kaspersky on my machine so I know that isn't it. Infact I've wiped my drive a few times and still Anandtech.com responds slowly. I tried running a tracert on Anandtech.com and soon as it hits eicomm.net it starts timing out.

The entire site, forums and homepage, are soooo slow for me. But what's weird is that it is only slow on my desktop and not my laptop. It's actually quite fast on my laptop. They both have the same set ups for browsers and security.. NOD32 and the built-in Windows firewall.

Doing a trace route on both machines doesn't give much info as they both give the same results:

I don't know if this has anything to do with the problem:
Text CheckDNS.NET is verifying if NS are alive
NS list mismatch: registration authority reports that domain is hosted on the following servers: 'abraham.vadc1.eicomm.net; adam.vadc1.eicomm.net', but DNS server abraham.vadc1.eicomm.net reports domain to be hosted on 'abraham.vadc1.eicomm.net'. Please make sure that you configure the same DNS servers in registrar database and on your DNS
Text FAIL
Open DNS servers
ERROR: One or more of your nameservers reports that it is an open DNS server. This usually means that anyone in the world can query it for domains it is not authoritative for (it is possible that the DNS server advertises that it does recursive lookups when it does not, but that shouldn't happen). This can cause an excessive load on your DNS server. Also, it is strongly discouraged to have a DNS server be both authoritative for your domain and be recursive (even if it is not open), due to the potential for cache poisoning (with no recursion, there is no cache, and it is impossible to poison it). Also, the bad guys could use your DNS server as part of an attack, by forging their IP address. Problem record(s) are:

Server 208.65.200.3 reports that it will do recursive lookups. [test] Server 208.65.200.2 reports that it will do recursive lookups. [test] See this page for info on closing open DNS servers.

SLow here too. Seems to be getting worse as the days go by. Doesn't seem like anything is in the works to fix it either, as this thread continues to grow. Oh well have to deal with the SUPER slowness.
