is asus x1800xt TOP best?

Just wondering if its the best ati 512mb card at this time or which one to get as there are few options.

the 7800 512 gtx is the best right now

x1800 xt top is just an oced version of x1800 xt, and it only even things up with the 7800

if you just oc the 7800...you'll pull away from the x1800 xt again

and in a few weeks...the new cards r gonna come out which will significantly outperform the current cards (rumour has it)

well thats all fine and dandy as I plan on waiting for the new cards....but I need a card for now because I have the rest of the system all ready ordered and on its way to my house. So I wanted a filler card that I can sell later when the new ones come out.

x1900xtx is around the corner and according to some ppl in this forums its gonna be around $699 .
keep in mind that the x1900xtx is gonna score 11K+ in 3Dmark2005 .

A good option would be to just buy the cheapest X1800XT and find the PE bios thats floating around to bump your stock speeds to 700/1600 (from 625/1500) same as the ASUS TOP.

Or if you don't want to lose the warranty then just run stock. The X1800XT at stock is fast enough for almost any game. (Partial exceptions for FEAR and COD of course as no single card does great on those - the X1800XT does better than most however)
