People who claim to be asexual say that they never have any sexual desires or feelings. But why don't they? Is it a hormonal issue? I don't get it.

Perusing the forums at asexuality.org has just compounded my confusion.

i just went through those forums a bit...i can't imagine not thinking about ****** the atractive women i see on a daily basis...much less completely abstaining from sex

i would lean toward some sort of hormonal imbalance, maybe?

I need that condition.

Why? Enjoy your naughty parts.

<shrug> I've had this conversation on AT before. I think it would be nice to flip a switch to control it.

Asexual literally means not sexual. The scientific connotation is as "an alternative reproduction method".

One can't help but think it's psychological. Of course that's what we said about homosexuality now isn't it...

I'm with OP.....

Hormones or Psychological. Both would likely be Medically corrected, but I'm not a doctor.

Last I checked, one of the first sentences in the Bible tells mankind to "be fruitful and multiply".

i saw them on some television program also. they are so relieved their condition is now out in the open. some of them still partner up with a member of the opposite sex. i wonder if those couples have sex but are too ashamed to tell everyone about it at the AA meetings.

Maybe they are just pu**ies like me and and never talk to girls.

Really, your sexual urges do die down as you get older.

think wired or something had an article on assexual people. its just people with extremely low sex drives. its not implausible.
