I am local resident. I am saddened that the DA, Nifong, will make Durham look like a backwater town. I think he caved to pre-election pressure to go to NCCU (predominately black college) and say that he would get a conviction. 60 Minutes made him look like a buffoon.

And when the media cicrus comes back into town, I know the blantant misrepresnetation of today's journalism will try to divide this city into black and white, poor and rich, out of towners and city people.
