Is anyone using Windows One Care beta?

techs

I was thinking of doing a quick install on a computer to check out Windows One Care. Anyone tried it? What do you think?

Tried it..uninstalled. All the programs I have now all do the same thing. IIRC, the firewall protection is permanent. Basically one care is for people that have no idea or time to update their software or schedule scans and such. To me it seemed like a bunch more crap installed on my computer doing the same thing my current programs are doing.

The firewall? I didn't know it came with a different firewall than the one built into WinXP. Are you using Windows 2000?

Edit: Disregard. I checked it out online. I see it adds a two way firewall.

I'm running Windowsonecare, uninstalled my PC-cillin when it first came out and am happy as a clam. I'm not a newbie, just tired of messing with all those anti this and anti that proggies, been doing it for years. If Windowsonecare will do the job with minimum intervention by me, it has my vote. So far so good, time will tell. I am not a Mickeysoft fanboy but it seems to me that they are FINALLY making a concerted effort to deal with their OS issues. There you have it.

Those are my reasons for wanting to check it out exactly.
Thanks for the replies.
