Is anyone still playing Dead Island?

PM or add me on live if you want to play coop. Currently level 15 Sam B., but willing to start another character for coop. GT: Black Hole Box

I'm glad I decided to give this game a chance after months of reading about all the launch problems. I'm currently in chapter 2, 11 hours in, 30 minutes of which was spent on the early main plot quests, the rest on side quests and exploring, and still I've only seen 10% of the island. The visceral melee combat has yet to lose any of its novelty, though I can see how some might find it repetitive after decimating their 500th zombie skull. I can see this easily being a 50+ hour game.

Its a pretty fun game, I did get bored with it pretty easily though. I'm about around the same level as you, but on the PS3. I may have to try to dive back into it.

I am wayyy late to this party, but I'm having a TON of fun with it! About 85% complete now, feels like its winding up, but man it was good. I got the GOTY edition, so maybe that one had all the bugs and stuff worked out, I dunno. I haven't had a single glitch, and the lite RPG elements were the perfect amount for me.
The ability to just jump into other people's games or have strangers just show up and help you kill the tougher guys is a neat feature. Haven't played a game that I recall having that seamless of CO-OP integration before. Wish I had more friends who played this type of game, it'd be fun to blow through the co-op at some point.
If anyone is looking for a 30-40ish hour(to do almost everything) RPG zombie game to blow through, this is a beauty!

I loved this game at first. I thought they captured the creepiness of being trapped on a island filled with Zombies perfectly. Then once I reach some odd level it started feeling really repetitive. Area's I had cleaned out, Zombies had respawned ruining any level of survival creepy. Hard to have any scare moments when you know the zombies are going to be there over and over again. I finished the campaign but struggled to do so.

It is weird how they'll respawn sometimes, and then times when you die and come back it'll be how it was when you died and not respawn anything. Doesn't bother me much though, if the world ran out of zombies it'd be way harder to level up! Plus slashing the heads off as many as possible with my sweet katana is surprisingly still satisfying. I've just reached the jail, must be almost done.

I just picked up this game after completing the 3rd episode of The Walking Dead game. It's definitely a different kind of game than WD, but it's a ton of fun. There's just something so satisfying about killing zombies.

I'm only about 20% in, and I am having a little bit of the same experience. I just got into the city, so I'm exploring a brand new area, but by the time I left the resort, it was getting kind of monotonous.
