i'm running ICS on my htc g2. The Andromadus Audacity Beta 2 rom i'm using is rather smooth.

Also running Andromadus Beta2 on my HTC Vision. I seem to be getting a lot more shuttering from Beta1, especially in the browser. However, the echo is gone and the camera works flawlessly now!

edit: definitely worth it coming from android 2.x. A lot faster (although granted I was running a sense rom, and I upped my OC to 1.2Ghz), and quite stable at this point.

the sense 4.0 roms based on the oneV, rom they are pretty fast on our phones. I've used the ice cream sensewhich beta 5 rom that is very smooth rom, very little lag. I think once they get the camera issue resolve with those rom, i'll switch over to one those roms.

How difficult is it to do this? Will I lose any data?

if you havent rooted your G2 yet, xda has good information about rooting your phone

If you do decide to root your phone and plan on trying out one of the htc sense base roms. One thing I do recommend is converting your phone over to the desire z Hboot. The sense base roms require that particular boot rom for them to work correctly.

I haven't tried a sense 4.0 rom yet. I used to run a sense 2.1 gingerbread rom, and while I liked the added functionality and (especially) the widgets, it was borderline too slow for me.

What, if any, compelling features do you think sense 4.0 brings? With ICS, I haven't found any lacking features that sense addresses.
