I was just looking at the system requirements, and they seem to be pretty steep.

Actually, to be a CPDN-project, the wu is in reality
very short since it's taking only a month to crunch. As a comparison, the earlier Sulphur-Cycle-model took 2.5 months, and the Coupled Model takes roughly 5 months...
Seasonal Attribution uses 430 MB of memory, so would not recommend trying this if you've got less than 1 GB memory.
The model is a one-year high-res model with 51984 timesteps, and 0.1 Cobblestones/timestep. Each "day" includes 144 timesteps, and checkpoints happens once per day, and Trickle once every 5 "days", 720 timesteps.
As for speed, on my Opteron-242 (1.6 GHz), the speed is roughly 45 s/TS, this means a full model takes roughly 26 days. Also, checkpoint only every 144 timesteps means it takes 1h48m between checkpoints, so it's not something to run on a computer you're often re-booting...
BTW, there's a known bug, then you've passes 66% done or something, you'll start trickling for each day, instead of every 5 days, but since the trickles is very small, this shouldn't be a problem.
Upload happens only at the end of the run, if not mis-remembering it's 5 files totalling 30 MB or something... I've finished 3 models, but still doesn't remember the actual upload-size.

Hmm, has 3 CPDN-models with ETA in 6-9 days, so ask me again in a week.
But, one very important thing, Seasonal Attribution is a "short-running" project, and the original plan was apparently 2000 finished models, there's currently 1934 finished models. But, according to a
forum-post earlier to-day, they're extending this a little, so any models
returned before 31. October 2006 will be included in their Science-paper. Any later-returned models will maybe be used by others, but this is a little more iffy, so would recommend anyone wanting to run a model to make sure it's finished in October 2006.
There's currently 5600 wu ready to be sent-out, when this is depleted, it's depleted, there's no plans to generate more.
So, if anyone wants to join the very small 5-users-with credit-team, has atleast 1 GB memory, and a 2 GHz or faster "stable" computer... Remember, CPDN is known to push many "stable" overclocked computers over the edge... showing they're in reality not stable...
And remembering, having the time to finish the model(s) before 31. October 2006.

One last recommendation at the end, run BOINC-v5.4.9 or later, and for any Virus-scanners, disable scanning of BOINC and it's sub-directories, to minimize the chance the virus-scanner screws-up the model...
