Is anyone really good with MS WORD?

For example, the background palate only has yellow, can I chaneg t to allow yellow, yellow-green, green-yellow, light yellow, dark yellow, etc....?

Wha...? Have you tried a Help -> Search? I got this in like 2 seconds:

On the Format menu, point to Background.
Do one of the following:
Click the new color you want.

Click More Colors to see additional color choices.

Click Fill Effects to change or add special effects, such as gradients, textures, or patterns

I used the wrong word.
I want to change and ad to the HIGHLIGHT palet rather than the background palet.
