Is anyone playing DeusEx with W2K? PLEASE!

I want to move to W2K, but am afraid I won't be able to play DeusEx. It's one of my all time favorite games. Can't live w/o it. Please someone just answer and tell me how it runs. Thanks so much!

yup runs fine for me under Win2K. This is on the JAXU rig in my profile, using the Geforce2MX with the 12.90 drivers from nVidia

Thanks guys, I appreciate your answers. I came this close to pulling a copy of W2K of the shelf at the store today, but then I remembered reading all the issues that W2K was having, at NTcompatible and I hesitated just long enough to walk out of the store.

Aside from the lousy memory management (and it DOES suck!) I have no probs w/Win98SE. I get a BSOD only when I provoke it...but under normal use, it's really quite nice. I dunno....

What am I afraid of? I'm afraid of spending $170 on a new OS, only to have to spend a week loading patches, tweaking, loading patches, tweaking and then finding out it's no better than Win98. I prolly will make the switch...but when, i can't say. Thanks again.

It's not worth $170 unless you really need it for big photoshop files or Maya or serving files--besides, XP is almost ready to roll. And seeing the deals they gave people to shift over to Office Xp (the iomega deal in particular), I bet you that $170 will be much sweeter on XP pro.
