Is anyone playing 1701 AD?

I bought it after playing with the demo. It seems you cant get it at the store though. I got my copy from gogamer (34$). If you like town buiding and trading goods, fighting pirates type of games, this is best one yet. Very additcive too. One problem with it, is the military part is not that well done, aspecialy after playing Medival war 2.

My wife and I play it over lan. We turn off opponents, and make everything else difficult. This makes it a slow game with tight resources, which we prefer. It's a fun game but you're right, the military options are fairly basic, as well as very hard to maintain with a growing settlement.

The water and environment effects are also quite amazing.
