Can someone explain what the fvck you do as a freemason? I've google'd and mostly find reference to some hierarchy of a secret society but besides that I'm having a troubling time trying to understand what they exactly do?

I know the local ones meet at night in this building over by the abandoned part of town by a funeral home (I swear to god I'm not lying). The place is frigging packed too. And I never see them come or go so it was somewhat weird I thought Never knew what it was until recently and wanted to find further information.

Most sites including the FAQ posted above just regurgitate the same things. From what I gather its just a group that wants to do "good"? Thats IT?
