I'm a high school student taking classes towards engineering. One assignment is to interview an engineer currently in practice. If anyone fits the description and wouldn't mind answering some questions, I'd greatly appreciate it. PM me if you're willing. Thanks!

i am not the kind of engineer you need, but there are some here.
my job title contains the word "engineer" , but as the reall engineers will tell you, there is no such thing as a "computer engineer"

Ummm... yes there is. There are plenty of accredited schools that offer computer engineering degrees. You're right, though, there are loads of people who have "engineer" in their title that aren't actual engineers. Any Microsoft or Cisco certification that uses the word engineer doesn't make you an engineer either.

I'm starting this week (just finished grad school) so I don't think I can help you, but IHateMyJob2004 is an engineer I think. Maybe not the job attitude that you're hoping for though. 🙂
 
Must be PLTW time. This happens on another message board I read that is frequented by many engineers and many high school students.
