Is anyone having problems with IBM HDDS ?

I just installed a 45 gigs Deskstar 7200 RPM 75GXP HD, in my system with a PIII 600 MHZ, on a SOYO 6BA+ III, with the latest BIOS, and 256 RAM memory, OS is WIN ME, and the problem that I have is that it freeze up, for not reason, or if I'm surfing either with Explorer or Netscape, the programs will shutdown for no particular errors, same goes for Napster, or Outlook express.

hmm... it maybe alot of things... have you tried running these programs in safe mode and see if the same things happen?
