Is anyone elses Dixiesys site down? (Back up as of 11/15)

EDIT: Seems to work again.

I think ive had ENOUGH of dixiesys. Their speed/downtime over the past month has been horrendous.

Mine has been extremely slow for the past month. When i question them about it, they say they dont know why but will try to figure it out.

I'm on server 8 and mine is down. Either it's down or it's very slow. Still great service other than that, most of the time.

My site hasn't gone down, but the last few days I wasn't able to login to anything to check email or upload. They said it was something on my end and not their problem basically. I hadn't changed any configuration on my side. After telling them for two days straight, I was finally able to log into my account again mysteriously. One day it works the next it doesn't.

My Dixiesys site seems to be ok. I've been pretty happy with moving over to Manlius though. I've had a small issue with my databases but that was due to mis-communication more than anything. During my last month or two with Dixiesys, the server I was on seemed to get progressively and noticeably slower.

Yeah I lurk at your board now and then and it can be god awful slow sometimes. I basically had the same issue with my forums before I moved my site from Dixiesys, but it was more intermittent - not consistently slow as you seem to have it. Hope you get it sorted out.

This is the 2nd time this week for a major outage..

I just signed up with dixiesys about a month ago because of problems JUST like this with my old host.

I'm going to start looking for a new host, again. I'm not too happy with DixieSys. They shouldn't keep signing customers up in a server that's having issues, and most importantly, they should admit to their problems.

Try anything www11.dixiesys.com/~admin*** where * = an integer (ie, mine is www11.dixiesys.com/~admin337). This is basically a way to see all the sites that are hosted on that given server.

Now it says:

Last tested: 16 Nov 02, 10:28pm Central Time (US)

and still shows 11 as green

but at http://stats.dixiesys.com/stats.php it will not give the current status.

I havent noticed mine down on 18 as long as I've had it. Speeds are good too.

Interesting.. I'd say it was a routing problem with MY ISP, but I can do a tracert to www11.dixiesys.com just fine, which would tell me it's a server-side issue.

I will defend Dixiesys. I have 2 sites with them. Sometimes you guys need to stop counting your chickens before they are hatced because you may have routing problems with your isp. If you want a perfect host, you can pay the huge difference but no host is perfect. Stop getting mad at Gary like it's his own personal problem. Sometimes switches fail and he is trying his hardest to make an honest living. Flame me all you want, I don't really care:disgust:
