Is anyone else tired of hearing about "JFK: Reloaded"?

Game in question

I just read another opinion piece today on this game in a local paper, calling it "tasteless" and "disgusting." While I agree with that assessment, I can't help but think that, as a gamer, I would not have heard of this game at all had the mainstream press not decided to report on it last week. It seems like the media wants to use this game as an example of the amoral culture that permeates the videogame industry, when in fact this is just another smalltime creator using shock value to gain recognition.

What do you guys think? Would this game be talked about at all in the gaming world if the AP and Reuters had not reported on it?

The problem is the press is not focusing on why the game was made.

The game was made by conspiracy nuts to further their beliefs and brainwash others. I think they gave little to no thought on how tasteless people would think it is.

From my understanding the game makes it impossible for Oswald to do it alone.

Played it. It's not that great, really. You sit there and try to take impossible shots, and you get a score for doing it "properly". The only problem is, they don't tell you what "properly" is, so you basically guess. The whole thing's about a minute long, and the reactions from the characters suck. Then if you take JFK's head off, you're rewarded with a really gory picture of brains spewing out. Ugh.

the original article had some quotes from the developer saying that it was "absolutely possible to recreate the shots" and that "this will lay to rest the conspiracy theories". the cnn article has been updated since i last read it apparently.

Hmmmm. Maybe I was mistaken. Though everything I have heard has said it's impossible.

I'll change my opinion to "I don't know." How's that?

I haven't played it, but I can't imagine that it is at all newsworthy. Once again, some people's outcry as to how bad something is only makes it more popular. And the media only fuels the flames. Some things just deserve to be ignored.

Wasn't there a game where you man a machine gun and fire at troops coming off transports onto a beach? Eerily similar to Normandy.

I played the "demo" and they were talking about a 100,000$ cash prize to anyone who could do it in such a way to vindicate the report of the warren commission. From my playing the game, I'd say that he could have easily killed kennedy, but there is almost no way he could have done everything the warren commission wants to blame him for.

Beachead 2000. One of the worst games in history. Even wose than the deer hunter series. Imagine an FPS where you cant use WASD.

I used to do it in MoH online all the time, except with the sniper rifle.
