Is anyone else Mad about Best Buys Rebates

I bought the GForce card the day after Turkey Day. I received the card around the end end of the 2nd week in December. Had a dated receipt for the day of purchase. I sent the rebate right in with all the fixins. Still haven't seen the rebate. I hear some have gotten replies that they will not see the rebates until the end of March. This is outright theft. These stores that can't send a timely rebate should be required to double the amounts to customers that wait outlandish periods. 4 months for a rebate is rediculous. We Ater's should get together and say we're not going to take this anymore! I for one am going to go to Planet Feedback and send some letters.....I'm pissed!

I bought an ATI Radeon All In Wonder in November from Best Buy and www.wheresmyrebate.com shows that my check shipped yesterday. I don't buy things with the intention of getting the rebate. If I do get it, it's a bonus. I'll agree they should be handled better.

i got a BB rebate from the dlink router @ $30 a few months back... but no sign of the dlink rebate. dlink is really beginning tp piss me off. i contacted them via email about a problem i been having, and that led to nowhere fast. they just kept telling me to do the same stuff i told them i tried. i called them, but its damn near impossible to get to talk to a live person. then when i do talk to a live person, he had no clue what was going on. he asks for my name, number, and best time to have a tier 2 tech call me back... but i never go any call. dlink can kiss my pooper for all i care at the moment. :|

And I am sure every one of those people sent it in December 1st. It will get here, I really have bigger things to worry about.

As Flashram99 said, if its gets here a nice bonus, if not oh well, stil got a nice vid card for $150

This is not a bonus! If you bought this card and it didn't live up to your expectations, you guys would be screaming a blue streak. Well not getting a $50 rebate is not living up to said contract and advertising. This is not a bonus it is dollars that were promised. It is the old check is in the mail promise and I won't c_m in your mouth , honest babe.....routine! Totally unacceptable, and bad business. These companies play everyone using these tactics. I've about finished ever buying with the promise of a rebate again. Everyone on this Forum crys everytime someone screws them a few dollars or with not shipping them an item.
How is this different? The bum troll may have just run out of bucks...these companies have plenty and they still steal. You guys are wrong to let them slide.

Maybe you should reread what I wrote. I never said I didn't care. I fully EXPECT to get the rebate, but I DON'T buy something if NOT getting the rebate right away is going to break me. If I didn't care I wouldn't have even bothered sending it in. And my icon is crying because I have to answer to people like you.

quit your whining. you're lucky you got the card at the price you did. they are not obliged to give it to you at that price. show me some fine print that says that you are entitled to receive your rebate within half a month or whatever, just be glad you're getting it. $150 was a good price for that card, no matter what.

i got the card myself. only reason i got it was the rebate or i would have waited for the GF4 ti4600. But i checked the rebate thing (listed somewhere on the site) and i should get mine sent out NEXT MONTH. darn thought it was 3-8 weeks not 3-6 months.

Your wrong.......they advertise it for that price they are deffinately obligated to sell it for that. Check with your states Attorney Generals Office. Not Whining......I'M SCREAMIN...I'm PO'd and not going to take it anymore. Hey, be two months late on your Credit Card Bills and see what the fat cats do to you. I can wait revenge is sweet....but it's not the point. You guys keep missing it. Flasher...your cryin cuz you have to deal with guys like me...keep cryin.......works for the girlies all the time.

I work for an ISP and let me say, I'm so tired of hearing the phrase "Better Business Bureau" and "blah blah blah attorney general." I'll admit I don't agree with all the practices of where I work, but the people that whine this are ALWAYS in the wrong.

Anyway thats a bit off topic, but the point is instead of whining and complaining why not just quit shopping there? Hurting their sales by stopping you and your friends from shopping better will probably hurt them more than the attorney general would be a nuisance at best, but most likely not even do anything at all.

Ok...it does get a little tiresome hearing stuff like that. What is the average person to do, hire an attorney for
five times what the item in question is worth. I recently purchased a new couch for $1000, after 4 months the springs came disconnected inside the thing. I've never had this happen before and had many new couches. I call the store and he says hge has no one to fix it but will try to find someone. 2 months and 20 calls later still not fixed. AG's office in the state where I live and the BBB got this resolved in short order.
A repairman came out to my home a fixed it on site, literaly rebuilding the frame and spring catches. Just trying to point out there is a need for the AG and BBB, especially against big business. Just my $.02 and will probably get flamed again. Goodnight people taking two asprin and going to bed.
