Such as International Text Messages - $0.15/msg, charges for Additional Text Messages - $0.10/ms when they show that your useage is UNDER the amount "In Plan", Equip Prot $3 Ins. Premium & $3 Serv/rpr, and finally $5.00 for Nights Starting At 7pm when I was told that it is now included free with all plans!

I could rant more but This Gal does it better than I ever could.[/quote]

UPDATE: I just got off of a 20 minute phone call with Sprint. Actually I ended up calling *2 and saying CANCEL to get retention, since the sales reps at the regular customer service are useless. The three International Text Messages were from a Washington number (wife's sister) but were billed by Sprint as coming from Haiti! I got the insurance taken off no problem. The 38 additional texts were a result of their bad math from last year because when you renew they prorate you in plan texts. When I called last month the rep said he waived them, but they were still charged. I had to get huffy with this rep to get them taken off. The Nights Starting At 7pm was not offered when we renewed last year and we would have to renew for another two years to get the $5.00 taken off AND suffer another bill with bizarro proration. No thanks. I'll be watching for bogus charges on next months bill and you shoud too.

yeah they focked me over w/ the data plan. i didn't have their power vision plan when i d/led a ringtone, so they charged me for the ringtone and like 100 bucks for using the data.

my phone got stolen, so i called up and told them i didnt make a call after 930. They said it would be erased from my bill. Get my bill in a couple weeks later with long distance charges after 10pm to Trinidad/Tobago. Its still has not been rectified, really starting to hate sprint.

Urgh, i'm sorry. This stuff pisses me off no end! Phone companies suck - especially because they'll tell you one thing over the phone and then you get the next bill and it's not reflected and then you have to call up and fight the battle all over again. There's just no way to really make certain that they stay faithful to what they told you. I've taken to asking them to make a note in my account and then to read back what they wrote, just so that I know the next rep won't be in the dark.

so you want something for nothing?
They could have just charged you $65.99 for the Razor + activation...
Then you eould be posting about how you spent way too much for a phone..lol

I didn't buy it. My current phone still works but it's 3 years old with cracks in the hinges - same with my wifes.

I don't want it for free I wanted 2 of em for 59.98. Paying 72 bucks for the priveledge of upgrading is a rip-off.

Got it?

I ordered online and called to actived. The new phones showed on my Sprint.com without an activation fee. If they slap you with one dial *2 and b!tch about it until they take it off.

her209 my taxes are about that much also. It seems the International texting charge has pretty wide spread.

From today's news
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott filed a lawsuit Monday against Sprint Nextel Corp., demanding the company to stop charging phone customers a fee for a tax that doesn't go into effect until next year.

Sprint Nextel began charging the "Texas Margin Fee Reimbursement" on cell phone bills this month, and state officials immediately began investigating.

"Sprint Nextel has defrauded its customers and violated a court order, blatantly disregarding the laws of the State of Texas," Abbott said, calling the fee false, misleading and deceptive. "Texans will not tolerate Sprint Nextel's unlawful business practices."

A Sprint spokesman has defended the fee and said last week that the company has no intention of ending the practice.

"At this time, we can't discuss this matter because it's the subject of pending litigation," company spokesman John Taylor said. "Sprint Nextel strives to serve its customers in a fair and transparent manner."

The company is charging cell phone customers 1 percent. But after deductions, companies will owe a maximum of 0.7 percent on gross receipts under the state's new business tax, often called the margins tax.

Companies are prohibited by law from collecting more from their customers than the amount of tax the company will pay.

Verizon Wireless and Cingular Wireless LLC say they're not charging customers for the tax.

The lawsuit, filed in state District Court in Travis County, asks the court to stop Sprint from imposing the fee and to require the company to repay all customers who have paid it.

The lawsuit also requests temporary and permanent injunctions, and seeks penalties of $20,000 per violation under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

Critics have argued that the term "reimbursement" implies that Sprint has paid the tax or fee appearing on customers' bills. But the tax doesn't start until next year.

An explanation on the bills claims that the fees "include certain charges assessed on Sprint that we pass through to our customers, as well as those that recover the costs incurred by Sprint in complying with various federal and state mandates."

Abbott also accused Sprint of violating a court-approved agreement, stemming from a 2004 case, prohibiting the company from implying that its discretionary fees are required by the government.

Under the court order, the company is required to clearly separate government-mandated charges from those imposed at Sprint's discretion.
