Is anyone else frusterated with the news?

I cant take it anymore.

I feel like the US got hit a year ago, and not a step of progress was made. Anyone else feel that way? It seems like its been a bunch of talking and no action. Basically 3,000 people died, and i still dont feel any safer than i did a year ago.

Between everyone defending Iraq, the al quieda saying all this garbage, the UN just talking and not doing, its really making me worried. I feel we're blinding ourselves with this non-sense and its leaving us vulnerable. Just like when the main thing people worried about was Clinton's dingdong and where its been, and we got broadsided.

I dont want this to turn into a thread about how the US needs do things slowly and politically. This is about the world. Its not about the US and revenge and punishment. Its about not having to worry if i might or might not see the years 2003 and beyond.

And of all the solutions currently on the table, they all suck.

You don't really have much choice but to grow up. What might help is some therapy. Sounds to me like you have an anxiety rpoblem generated by fear of the repetition of some suppressed traumatic incident. Bringing it to consciousness and reexperiencing it, while it will feel at first like dying, will bring tremendous relief. Your whole neurosis might be from sticking your hand in a cookie jar and getting the snot knocked out of you.

it is going to REALLY suck the next time it happens

as bad as i felt the first time, the second is going to be worse, knowing that we had time to try and fix the problem

especially if its exponentially bigger :(

my friend moonbeam, i guess growing up has a lot to do with it. B/c in reality there is nothing to fear right, just next time you turn on the telly and a nuclear power plant is burning just gimme a call and tell me how you feel.

Worry is a way to make yourself unnecessarily sick. So have you completely dismissed my suggestion. Surely you can see that not everybody is wound up like you are. I suspect you have little idea how unconscious people are about what they feel. I don't want to get into whether I worry about a power plant attack because what is important, since you asked the question, is you.

is it just me or is Moonbeam starting to speak comprehensible English these days?
maybe you're taking the Snoop "no more sticky icky" Dogg approach, or has someone been slipping me some drugs while I'm asleep? anyway, good to finally understand you :)
