Yes, I posted over in Software/Games a week ago and got ONE reply...not even a real one..kinda like a semi reply. I bumped the thread about 5 damn times. :|

Anyway, IGI-2 stands for "I'm Going In 2." Released by Codemasters a few weeks ago.

I'm at the Border Crossing level and am stuck. I get all the way to the minefield; the chopper's on the other side...along with a few APCs. :( How the #@!)! do you get across the minefield w/o A: getting shredded by the APCs or B: getting blown to bits by the mines. I looked and looked and there's no "break" in the rope that defines the minefield.

IOW, help. :)

Lilo & Stitch is as bad for children as drugs. It is the most horrible, evil, bad-precent setting kids' movie ever to besoil the screen.

But that's not what this thread is about. IGI-2 is much better than the first. Gameplay is good. Enemy AI is killer and graphics are decent. The game is about stealth, not blasting away.

See, I knew great minds think alike. I guess we're the only two great minds here. ;) :D

The first level sets the tone for the game. That is STEALTH. This is NOT a UT-type game; gunslinger antics will get you nowhere. The enemy AI is very good and adjusts itself to fit whatever you're doing. :Q You will not escape. :D You'll have a ball with the second level up in the mountains. HINT: piles of snow are not what they seem. ;)

The level I'm stuck on is damn hard. Waht really interests me is that the "projected time" is five minutes and change...no way it can be done!

You just said what was in your sig with more words, without saying why.

Definitely :) One of my favorite things about the game is the ability to shoot (and be shot) through objects (ie crates).

Is there a demo for IGI:2 ? I'll try to 'acquire' it later.

Right now i"m too engrossed in other stuff besides games. I use to play Medal of Honour religiously.

I can't believe that a game this cool...just isn't selling? It really is a darn good game...surely there must be someone else out there?

*no....there isn't. Dont' call me Shirley.*

I never beat the first one. Now that I have a little more respectable rig, I reinstalled it the other day. I intend to beat it now, and maybe then I'd consider the second one.

*looks to the Heavens*

A reply! Thank you, a reply!!! :D

Interestingly, I never played the first one; but I have read numerous times that the second one is worlds better than the first. Both gameplay and graphics-wise. I'll tell you this; the enemy AI is nothign to sneeze at. They will flank you, fall back, regroup and come at you again. They will also barricade themselves b/t you and whatever objective you're trying to get to...it's like "they know." :Q

The first one pissed me off, because you'd shoot everyone in a barracks, walk 30 yards away, come back, and they'd respawn like a bad deathmatch game.

I installed it, just haven't had a chance to play it. Try me after next week, as my contract is ending Friday, and my "vacation" begins. I'm sure I'll have the time to play it then.

WHY is Lilo and Stitch bad. You just repeated what was exactly in your quote with that reply. Give REASONS as to why Lilo and Stitch is bad for kids. Does it talk about worshipping in the devil? Having sex with other little kids? WHY IS LILO AND STITCH A BAD MOVIE?

ok, I feel better now.

Almost everything Disney puts out now is absolute crap created only to sell billions of dollars of crappy merchandise. Aside from Pixar flicks, I try to avoid anything Disney.

2 is good. I think people are having a hard time making the purchase, because of the respawn crap, and no saves during the levels. I know they have fixed this in 2, but not enough people know about it.

Nice reply, thanks. :)

Yes, they fixed the respawning prob; once you kill a guy, he's dead. ALSO, just like in real life, the body and the gun don't "evaporate" like they do in other FPSs; you can kill someone, come back in five minutes and the body and weapon are right where they fell.

Also, you can save midlevel, up to six times per level. The save screen is your character's "laptop" and has a "battery gauge" on it. When the gauge runs out, you can't save anymore. That means six times per level.

The game is really good.

However, I'm still stuck at the border crossing level. I defy someone to figure it out. :)

Lilo & Stitch is only a bad movie if you have dumb kids and don't explain them the movie. Lilo hits the girl, guess what? She hasn't got any friends afterwords, now why is that bad?
