Is anybody using a gophone sim with an Iphone 3gs?

Will it work? The gophone sim I have with me is currently a year and half old and is working with 2-3 unlocked phones without a problem. I'm not sure if it will work with the Iphone and hence the question.

Also, does the sim get locked to the Iphone if I use it? Will I be able to use it with my other unlocked phone after I use it in the Iphone?

Oh BTW I'm visiting the US currently. I do not need data but would like to use other features of the Iphone. A friend of mine is offering me his Iphone 3GS 16GB for $199 (OS Version is 3.0).

Yes, it will work. Just make sure you turn off data otherwise you'll burn through your "minutes" in a matter of seconds.

Yeah, I looked into this and the data is extremely expensive. Something like 1 cent per kilobyte-- so 1mb comes out to $10.
