Is anybody putting fans behind the CPU

I am still very happy with my CM 690 I bought a few years ago. Like many cases now, it has a spot to mount a fan on the side panel, directly behind (or two the right of, if you are looking from the front) the CPU. I have never gotten around to buying a fan.

I was wondering if any of you have tried that? What kind of results are you getting?

I'd imagine it would be good for highly OCd systems to give additional cooling but I'd also imagine good airflow in the case would help out for stock/light OC just from air moving back there.

I have a low speed fan on my case blowing in at this spot. A bit of extra cooling cant hurt and not adding any noise. The bad thing i noticed is it started to let dust collect on the back of the board. I taped a swiffer dusting cloth over the opening to act as filter.
