Jerry Seinfeld is kicking off a stand-up tour on Friday. Tickets have been on sale for quite a while, so if you haven't got any already, might be hard to get some at this point. I've been a huge fan of his for years, so I snagged some for my girlfriend and I right when they went on sale.

Saw him a few years ago. Was good but most of it was his 'yelling voice.' Still funny.

Seinfeld has never done anything funny besides Seinfeld. Same goes for everyone else on that show.

His stand up is OK at best.

I saw him a few years ago for the second time and was telling many of the same jokes he did the first time I saw him a few years previous to that.

Was that before or after he threw away all his old material? He did a special "I'm telling you for the last time" in which he used his old material for one last show, and began doing/writing all new material after that performance.

I would be going for sure if he stopped in Omaha. Last time he was through, I wanted to take my dad.

Yeah, I'm a fan, and I've seen him twice. Truthfully, at $55/ticket, he performed about an hour and it wasn't all that good. There were a couple of chuckles, but nothing life changing.

If anyone wants to see an awesome act...and I'm saying this in all seriousness...check out Gallagher. The guy is still f***n' hilarious and will make you laugh so hard you puke. I think I've seen him live 4 times and can remember each show in detail. The sledge-o-matic act at the end always gives unpredictable results. The last show a lady wearing a super nice evening gown got COVERED in chocolate pudding, and he saw her disgust, so he offered to have her dress cleaned----he went back stage and came out with a FIRE HOSE. She got drenched (along with the two rows around her). She had mascara running down her face, you could see her bra through her dress...holy crap that was the best show ever.

Not anywhere near me (nothing ever is). He's OK, not my favorite. I always found it kind of ironic that he more or less played the straight man character on Seinfeld. I guess it kind of fits with a stand up comedian which is more observational comedy, now that I think about it.

I caught an HBO special the other day with Seinfeld, Ricky Gervais (sp?) Chris Rock and Louis CK. It was just them talking about comedy but it was actually pretty funny and interesting.

FWIW, I think all convenience charges are determined by the venue. I was looking at booking an act at a 1400 seater and their charge was a buck per person.

Wait...maybe that's the facility fee. Never mind.

$14? Wow. I fucking hate buying from and working with Ticketmaster. There aren't many good alternatives. eTix is the next best. I wish they were the market leader in ticket dispensing.

I saw him a few years ago too, and he told the audience point blank he didn't want to do any of the characters or any of the voices he used in his show.
He did grant one though to an audience member who asked. It was the episode where he used the infamous, "Helloooooooooooo"

Yeah, he basically walked off the second show I went to after he got too many "Say NEWMAN!" requests.
