Is any of this true? This has to do with torture than an American soldier recd in Vietnam.

A friend of mine told me that during the Vietnam war, a captured American soldier was tortured in the following manner:

A Vietnamese prostitute was brought in by the VC and made to give the captured soldier a bj. After he became hard from said bj, the VC inserted a glass rod into his penis and then proceeded to break it leaving glass pieces inside him.

Just the thought of that makes me cringe.

Any truth to this?

It has been said that no matter how bizarre or inhuman a torture/treatment of another human can be, if it can be thought up it has been done to someone.

It's pretty said how most people are, we are getting ready for another war more than likely soon, hopefully it's at least done in a way where things change afterward and not just stay the same. One day maybe we will have one love, one world.

That's tame compared to some stories.

VC tied one Marine to a stake. Mutilated his privates. Pulled his finger nails and cut off his eyelids. He lasted a day and a half screeming for help as 5 more Marines were wounded trying to get to him.

The VC were brutal in the extreme and not only to prisioners.

That isn't as bad as something else I read in a book about something that happened before WW2. It was so awful it gave me terrible nightmares. I felt like throwing up.

Fascinating. I thought I'd read before about some vicious dolphins before, but did not think they killed their own kind. It's amazing that dolphins are thought to be the second smartest animals, so that would make both #1 and #2 animals murderers and sadists...

Interesting link. I encounter dolphins quite often in my forays kayak surfing, and as cool as I think they are, I try to keep my distance. On a few occasions, I've been on a distance tour and had a pod pace me, but I don't seek them out, for the very reasons listed in this article. They seem friendly and non-confrontational, but at the end of the day, I'm looking at an animal who is stronger than me, can give a pretty solid bite, and can hold its breath much longer, and bearing that in mind, I give them their space and watch from a distance.


Back on topic, I've never heard this particular one, but I don't doubt it, not for a second.
