I am planning to upgrade my Celeron 800Mhz system to a AMD XP 1800+ on IWILL KK266+ with 512MB PC133 SDRAM(the one I'm using right now).

I was wondering if 300w PSU will be enough to handle XP 1800+ ?
I have one hard drive, Geforce 2 GTS, one DVD-ROM, one CDRW, one floppy, one PCI ethernet card, and SBlive value.

From what I've read on this board, yes...especially if you have the "newer" power supply that has 180 watts combined for the 3.3V and 5V rails. I believe "most" folks say even the 150 watt (3.3 V + 5V) will work also. I own this case with the 180 watt PS, but still have not put the PC together yet.

I just finished a basic system with xp1700 and the older 300w Antec, no probs. Loading it down with a whole bunch of drives and other accessories might make a difference, dunno....

I used the same PS for essentially the same stuff you have hooked up. I had very nice numbers for all voltage rails. I wouldn't run my other system with 3 HD's, DVD, 2- CDRW drives with it, but I think it could hande it.
