Is Antec SX830 case w/ 300w PSU enough for XP 1800+?

I am planning to upgrade my Celeron 800Mhz system to a AMD XP 1800+ on IWILL KK266+ with 512MB PC133 SDRAM(the one I'm using right now).

I was wondering if 300w PSU will be enough to handle XP 1800+ ?
I have one hard drive, Geforce 2 GTS, one DVD-ROM, one CDRW, one floppy, one PCI ethernet card, and SBlive value.

You shouldn't post the same question in multiple forums. I already answered your post (with the exact same name) in the "General Hardware" forum...

Yes an Antec 300W PSU will be adequate for that setup. I had my xp1800+, Gigabyte GA7dx, Pioneer 305s, Yamaha 16x scsi, 2 x 60gb WD, and Adaptec 2940uw all running on an Antec 250W PSU. Antec makes great PSUs and the 300W version should be more than adequate for your setup.

Yes ..see my rig below ..works fine and Iam overclocking to 150 fsb...well now at 148 fsb as the heat in FL in mid 90's is killing me....

Heck yeah. Unless you got a dud PS. I have a ton of stuff on mine including 4 hard drives, DVD, CD-RW, all DIMM slots full, and a few extra fans 😉

Sounds good. I have a 250w Antec powering my 1 gig tbird right now....but I'm upgrading to an Xp 1900. Should be good hopefully.
