is antec sx-1030b the best?

is the sx-1030b the best case (thats somewhat reasonably priced) that I can buy. I like it and Its 100 bucks shipped from onvia. Is there any case I could better spend my money on?

I have one and I like it a lot, but I have to say that with 4 sunons, its surprisingly loud, not sure if its the fans or case, because with the stock fans it isn't this loud 🙁 Oh wells excuse for me to get panaflos! 🙂
 
I just ordered the case my self. It looks all nice on reviews, so it better not be some junk like my Enlight 7237, which isn't that bad.
 
I just checked out the SX-830 at Frys, they have it for $99. in Portland. OR., really nice case, .......... the only minus I noted was the led's for the hdd and other functions were mounted into the plastic front bezel instead of on the metal front panel, ........... but the bezel is two piece, so you really don't need to completely remove it ............ ?
They also have the SX-1040 for $119. and an ugly purple and black SX-1040 based case w/an Enermax 350w ps for $149. so you now have lots of choices .........?
 
there ARE better cases, but I don't think so for the money. if you plan on modding the side door so you can fit a fan blowing on the heat sink, forget it. the handle placement is right around the optimal placement for a fan 🙁

not that I have needed one so far. the damn case is a limo 😀 sx1030b=awesome.
 
Just checked Frys in the Bay Area and there is a sale on the sx1030. The regular price is $119 but this week its only $99 plus tax. Great case. Picked one up, they still had about 8 left.
 
get the case from Onvia, they have the beige and black one for the same price, no tax, and free shipping. $100.24

I went with the new SX1240 though 😉 That baby looks sweet, I should get it Monday.

yes antec rules i got my sx1030 best case ever made, just waiting to mod it and add a top exhaust fan

I like the 1030, but i hear theres a 12x series out now, or soon to be, dunno havent been reading much on cases since i bought mine, very happy with it though.
 
I believe the 12XX is out and is bigger and has no door on the front. I prefer the 10XX series and the XX is either a 30 (for 300watt PS) or 40 (for the 400watt PS).
 
Do you need to open this door to put in a cd or disk?

For the price, I believe it's the best case out there. But I have the following complaints: noise insulation isn't great at all. And with 4 80mm fans, things get loud. They should have replaced the front two 80mm fans with a huge 120mm or 92mm fan (but then the harddrive bay wouldn't be able to get it's own fan. Larger and less fans the better IMHO.

The door only swings to one side, the one side I don't want it to swing to. Aside from that, that's about it...
