I wanted to know if 350Watts is enough for today's system (xp2000+(not overclocked), 512mb of PC2100, 2 7200 rpm drives, dvd-drive,cdrw, floppy, soundcard,ethernet,geforce ti4400 128mb, 2 case fans?

Is the antec server chassis' size in between the sizes of a mid-tower and full-tower antec case?

Is there a true power 350W antec ps?

Anyone have any opinions on the antec smart power 350W ps? You can pick them up at best buy for like $35.

thanks for all the info.

The TruePSUs come in 330, 380, 430, 480, and maybe 530 watt versions. No 350. But the True330 is going to be better than a regular 350 anyway.

I'm not an expert on Power Supply issues, but I can tell you that I've had no problems running my system with an Antec 300W PS. My system is a cheapo mid-tower, T-Bird 1.4, Taisol hsf, 3 case fans, 2 sticks of sdram, video card w/fan, CD-RW, DVD, 7200 HD, and Floppy. Hope that helps.

Yes if it's an Antec or any other good quality PSU although some MoBo's are finicky

Last time I checked AMD's site, they recommended the 400 watt for an Antec PS.

This is what my system had before forcing me to upgrade from an Antec303X Power Supply (300W):

Pentium 4 1.6 ghz @ 2.2 Ghz @ 1.5v
2x 7200 RPM drives (Western Digital 120gb Special Edition, IBM 75GXP 45gb)
1x 5400 RPM drive (Maxtor 7200 rpm 40 giger)
2x Optical Drivers (Toshiba DVD/CD reader, LiteOn CD-RW)
~~~~
Note each of the above drives as on its own IDE channel. Your IDE cables are each rated at 5W . . . hense another reason people have been pushing for serial ATA
~~~~
ATI Radeon 64MB DDR VIVO
2x Maxtor IDE Cards (Promise rebadged)
Sound Blaster Live!
Winmodem
Ethernet
~~~~
5x 80mm Case Fans
2x Other fans
~~~~
Printer Cable (these use more power then you think)
~~~~
3 random USB devices (kb/mouse/joypad).
~~~~

So what pushed it over the edge? One more hard drive :) My system grew completly unstable after adding a 4th drive to the mix, but I recently upgraded to a 400W antec and haven't had a single crash since.

I have a 250W power supply running 5 PCI cards, 1 AGP, 4 hard drives, 8 USB devices, and 2 CD drives. No problems.
