Tom Cruise is great and The Matrix Trilogy owns. I know you, you know it, vegetable lasagna knows it, but you can't stand it deep down, that's why you continually rag on them.

Salt was pretty good, but Jolie is definitely one of those actors/actresses who really just plays themselves in various skits. Others include:

Nicolas Cage
John Travolta
Tom Cruise
Jimmy Caan
Shia LaBeof
Tim Robbins
Brad Pitt
Tons of others...

Good actors are few and far between. They usually bring about character that makes you forget who they are in real life, which is why the people above aren't good actors by that definition, because they have such stark, extreme, one dimensional personalities.

Christian Bale is a pretty good example of a better than average actor if I had to come up with an A-lister off the cuff.

That's the only movie I think she was really good in and if I'm not mistaken she won best actress or supporting actress for it.
