However, my family is as computer ignorant as can be. (How sad.)

use ATOT mainly at work because i'm bored and don't have much stuff to do.... 56k at home is too slow, besides, the comp at home is used by like my whole family... mainly games for my lil siblings tho

Most definitely a "secret life.". Most of my buds are into sport bikes (so am I) and their idea of a fast computer is anything that says "Pentium 4" on it. No offense to you P4 dudes out there! They don't know the diff b/t IDE and AGP. You get the idea. My GF thinks I chat with my "secret potential other girlfriends"....why else would I spend so much time here, right?

i got one guy into AT, but he sticks to Hot Deals. He annoys me now, he always talks about these deals when I see him. Once I get up to Davis, I plan on converting 2 guys that I met to ATOT.

My friend told me about AT, but he doesn't get onto the forums at all. I come here when I'm bored at work, and tell people that I talk to people on a forum, but never really invite anyone here. I only come here at work, too.

Same here. There are so many opinions/feelings that I have, but just don't feel comfortable sharing them with some people, including my parents.

As for telling people about this place... nope. I think its already bad enough to be thought of as some computer geek, but to have some of my friends come here and read some of the stuff I post (personal problems, girl problems, bad mood problems), would only lead them to make fun of the stuff I post here. The sad truth is that even at 19/20 years of age, everyone is still so immature about things.

I feel comfortable sharing things here. I get honest opinions (w/ a few crazy opinions) and answers, and at the same time, get to stay anonymous. You guys know me, but you dont know me at all.

It was till one of my friends read the address off a page I printed. Now a number of my friends (and a not so good friend) have joined.
