Is an nvidia reference BIOS better to use?

I have a Leadtek Geforce DDR (rev. B) card and it is annoying me a little.
Performance is fine and it works well enough, but it has a slight problem. In Windows, when the power saving options turn off the monitor after x minutes, trying to switch it back on results in a hang.

While the screen is off, the computer is fine and still processes whatever it was left doing. However, moving the mouse or pressing a key to bring it back will just result in the classic small dotted coloured line at the top of the screen.

I currently have the latest Leadtek BIOS for the card, but was wondering if the latest nvidia GF DDR bios (which is newer than the Leadtek one) will bring some joy.

Before you ask, why am I worried about it being able to power down properly, I'm not too bothered, but it's the principal of it. It should work.
