Is an LCD Monitor Cable the same as the Next?

I've got an ASUS 24" monitor and need a longer power cable. Assumption is there is no issue with a longer generic aftermarket cable?

I think you'd be fine with an AM power cable. Most power cables are AM even to the original maker of the monitor unless it is a specialty item.
