Probably... honestly, if I had a choice, I'd probably go for a 600-650W for "headroom". But it's quite possible that a GOOD 500W would work. EVGA 80+ are fairly decent. They do warm up quite a bit, though, even though they're 80+. I've got an EVGA 500B (Bronze) in this box right now, and it's been pretty good. I've got a G4400 OCed to 4.45Ghz, and a 7950 3GB non-boost non-OC (800/1250). Under max load, though, I was possibly overloading my 330W UPS, so I moved the plug from the "battery" outlets to the "surge only" outlets.

For the power supply, it MIGHT run both at stock, but overclocking it would really be pushing it. That CPU pulls a good bit of power above 4 GHz, and AMD video cards do not shy from power draw. Would feel much better recommending at least 600 watts for such a build.

The i7 4790k is an 88W part, the gpu is rated at 190W, assuming im going to overclock both so lets add another 100W that would make it around 378W worst case scenario, plus storage, ram, fans etc lets make it 400W...my power supply is 500W isnt that enough?

Adding 22W for "everything else" in your system is a bit meagre. I'd add at least 50W - chipset, RAM, VRMs, various other components all consume power (there is some reason for the massive heatsinks on modern motherboards), plus fans and storage. You only have the one SSD, no HDDs or any other storage? How many fans are in your case? Do you have any lights or other extra power draws?

I'd say 500W is okay, as long as it's good quality. Wether your choice is good quality or not is not something I know - I'd check out some reviews. Proper reviews, that disassemble the unit and actually look at how it's put together.

i still dont have the pc, i will get it these days, on the description it says it has a frontal 200mm fan and other 3 fans inside the case, i just have one ssd 850pro 256gb, ASUS Gryphon Z97 Armor Edition motherboard...i hope that power supply will be enough, i might give up on overclocking if necessary...

The seller (wherever you found this) isn't going to guarantee overclocking. This CPU performs very well, doesn't overclock very well (for many), and doesn't show much need for it at this time. Also, unless the seller printed something different, you can bet that it is going to have the Intel stock fan, which means it's going to throttle at anything much over 4.0 GHz at 100% load.

If you need more details, please post the link to the page this computer is on.

he told me on the phone he ordered a cpu cooler dont know which one and a power supply evga 500W 80+ thats all the information i have..

Looks like a good machine. For an AMD card, the 7870 is too crazy on power consumption IIRC. I think you will be OK at stock, overclocking will be anyone's guess.
