1 x AMD Athlon 850 MHz - plug-in module - L2 256 KB at Onvia.ca
It has this info:
Manufacturer's Number: A850BOX
Manufacturer's Name: Advanced Micro Devices (AMD)
I know that A####xxxxx is a Thunderbird ####Mhz...but this A850BOX is kind of an odd number...
It says:
Slot(s) Required 1 x processor - Socket A
but it also says
Form Factor Plug-in module
So would you guys guess that this is a SlotA TBird 850Mhz?
I'm looking for an upgrade to my Athlon 550 classic...
I figure an 850TBird on my K7M with Alpha P7125 will hit 950 easily enough....maybe a nice even 1Ghz...
I already have GFD, P7125, and I have an opportunity to get 256MB of PC100 2-2-2 RAM cheap soon...I don't really want to go DDR for a while yet, and a SocketA KT133 board isn't that much better than my K7M...so I'm trying to find a TBird at about 900Mhz that will ship to canada.
Do you guys think this is it?
