Is an artist expressing his views so wrong?

You can say whatever you want. Just don't piss and moan when people choose not to play/listen/buy your stuff.

Case in point: Dixie Chicks.

Apparently so. Didn't you hear the whole Howard Stern thing? Or the superbowl thing? IMO, the FCC can go fvck themselves.

Depends.

Some rap guy criticizing Bush - fine in my books. Just free speech really.

Some psycho neo-nazi dude putting up a mural entitled "Kill all the n!ggers and jews!!!" with some artwork depicting such is definitely out of line.

Where do you draw the line and why? Are not the neo-nazi's exercising their freedom of speech?

song questions President Bush (news - web sites)'s involvement in the events of Sept. 11, 2001, with the lyric "Why did Bush knock down the Towers?"
Ok, I hate Bush too.. but how exactly did he knock down the WTC? IIRC it was a bunch of fanatical & moronic Arabs. Rap is art, but too often the artists and listeners are idiots, tarnishing what few diamonds in the rough there are.

What a maroon. He has right to free speech as I have mine. And with my free speech I'm calling him a maroon.

Businesses have a right not to play his cRap either. It's only censorship if there is gov't involvement.

Here's my favorite part though:

"That's why I put it in there like that. A lot of my people felt that he had something to do with it."

Who are 'your' people? And why do you hang around with such maroons?

You know, I don't like everything that Bush does (mostly domestic) and I didn't care for Clinton but I don't think either man would do something as despicable as having airliners flown into the twin towers. The only people who have shown that kind of disregard for life are the islamic jihadist terrorists that sully the face of this earth.
