QFT son. Only weird thing about the book is when he goes on about the albums. For pages at a time.

Rules of attraction was excellent also.

Too much minutae description and sick twisted writing.

The author is disturbed.

Not worth it.

It's a great book, it really gives you a better portrayal than the film does; though both are fantastic.

That book messed me up for life.

I think of gruesome things now that one should not think of.

Its pretty good, easton ellis has a way of really depressing you if you read too much of his stuff. Anyway, there is definately a few parts that make me gag, it goes wayy wayy over the top.

That book was a very odd duck. I liked it, but the pages upon pages of detail were a little nutty... of course, that was the point but it did get a little off-putting. Still, it was much better than the movie. I didn't really care for that, while I did enjoy the book enough to recommend it.

I didn't find it all that gruesome or disturbing. That doesn't mean I'm so tough, I just don't think the book was that bad. I understood the purpose of all the description of fashion and albums and all that, but I found it tiresome after a while.

Interesting factoid: Ellis says he just ripped the fashion descriptions from a few issues of GQ, and that if you actually wore all the stuff he listed you'd probably look ridiculous.

I'm guessing you're not a Wilde fan either.
