Is AMD still on top of the Sisoft Sandra cpu benchmark?

AMD guys post your sandra stuff for me please....Sandra used to be owned by AMD in cpu and I think multimedia...I'm getting...

SANDRA RESULTS

CPU Arithmetic

Dhrystone ALU-------4704 Mips
Whetstone FPU-----2995 Mips

CPU Multimedia

Intiger------------------9541 it/s
Floating Point-------11645 it/s

Memory Bandwidth

Ram Int Buffered----3363 mb/s
Ram Float Buffered-3355 mb/s

Umm, I wouldn't care about Sanda numbers too much. I remember that by Sandra K6-2 was in pair/faster than P3 also...

Sorry fkloster, I would even post those Sandra numbers for your pleasure if I would have AthlonXP and Windows 🙁 I just can't figure out why you guys are taking Sandra numbers so seriously... oh, my 1Ghz T-bird makes 1998.84 BogoMIPS 😉

If sandra is that important to you then here is my scores. Restarting may have helped some. At stock 1.5ghz speed and cas2 memory. Nothing more nothing less. I think i labeled them correctly.

"Cpu?" "Multi?" "Memory"
4241/2128 - 8440/9757 - 2049/1954

If I had an AMD based system around I'd pop up some numbers for ya, but I'm at home so no AMD Athlon based systems are accessible at the moment.
I really wouldnt be particularly concerned about what SiSoft says though, SiSoft's benchmarks tend to be little better then MIPS.

i don't put much stock in sandra... the bandwidth scores are worthwhile, but nothing else in that bench is. the drive bench is horrible.

i don't like 3dmark either.

i think theoretically the xp 2100+ 1.733ghz should get a 4800's mips, while a p4 2.4ghz should be in high 4500's....fpu is different...either you look at straight fpu in which the p4 gets wooped or you look at sse2 and the amd gets wooped...

about a dead heat in mutlimedia comparing a 2.4ghz to amd 1.733ghz....

ofcourse we all know the bandwidth story...with your rdram you are probably hitting 3300's right? I get 2900's right now with ddr at 407mhz....I think the best athlon is a ways back from both of those numbers.....

You must separate iSSE2 scores from basic FPU in the way Sandra 2002 does, or it is misleading. Also, the Pentium 4 eats its way through much more bandwidth to perform to the level of older CPUs due to the way the cache is designed, probably, so that won't correlate with real application results closely either. If you like trying new benchmarks, try COSBI if you dare. You can find it on vanshardware.com ...

UT is a horrible benchmark as well. not so much for processors as video cards. i think serious sam may be the best gaming benchmark, as it seems to be optimized for just about anything.

UT isn't a good benchmark for P4. It doesn't heat up my P4 as much as Prime95. A good number of transistors probably just sit there and do nothing.

Neither does athlons.
