I have just purchased a total machine from the ground up and I have ran into a snag. I just started assembling my new machine this morning and everything is going well, until.... I'm not having much luck seating the cpu onto the mobo. I've put several machines together before, but I'm by no means a pro. I know what I'm doing and I am very careful at what I do.
That being said, I don't ever recall ever having to put any pressure on the cpu at all when installing it. I just don't feel like I have a good seat at all. The chip doesn't ever feel secure at all on the mobo. I can always slide it a little bit on the mobo, so I know it isn't seated all the way.
Should I be able to pull the chip out when the locking lever is lowered and locked?
I'm stumped.. .
