Is Amazon's pricing on clothing becoming more competitive?

Lately, it seems like with a lot of the clothing that I like, Amazon's pricing has become more competitive with brick and mortar retailers, even when using coupons in the latter. And it seems that Amazon has been carrying more of the styles that I like in Fairy Tale pink this spring before everyone else, and now that some time has passed since they have been released, Amazon sometimes gives some discounts on them that I can buy them as gifts for other people (such as for Father's Day).

So, has anyone noticed that Amazon's pricing on clothing has become more competitive lately?

Nope. I buy my clothes used. >$10 is a shocking price on any article of clothing.

Yeah, I get about 90% of my clothes for free. My aunt brings me used clothes my cousin gives her to donate and lets me have first pick before she takes to goodwill and other donation centers. The other 10% I buy from Costco. I do occasionally buy shoes from Amazon.

Shoes can be tricky. I've spent as much as $40 for brand new combat boots, but I still prefer to pay ≤$10. I go to thrift shops a lot, and have very stable tastes(Pretty much boat shoes and combat boots), so I pickup shoes I like and squirrel them away for when I need them. If you look when you already need shoes, you have to get lucky to score.

It all depends on what you are shopping for. I've compared designer labels for the wife and they really were on par with the B&M stores. But off brands seem to be cheap.

I have a "clothing optional" state of mind. Al fresco, if you will. For more formal occasions, a simple purple thong will do. In the winter, I just don't go outside. I hibernate, and mast, errrrr, master my domain. Everyone needs a stimulating winter hobby. Mine comes in . . . handy.

Haven't really noticed Amazon being more competitive, just the opposite actually.
For clothing I buy just as much from Nordstrom rack/ Hautelook and if I can deal with the shipping delay Touch of Modern.

Tennis Shoes - I buy these so infrequently I don't even have a dedicated place to buy them. I think I just look for slickdeals occasionally.
Casual Clothes - I wear casual clothes less and less often it seems, but I can grab most of mine from either Costco or Kohls for decent prices.
Dress Shoes - Love finding a nice pair of Allen Edmonds $350+ shoes for pocket change on eBay. Spruce them up a little and they look brand new.
Dress Shirts - Charles Tyrwhitt... $30/shirt, nuff said.
Dress Pants and other work clothes - Brooks Brothers outlet

I have NEVER seen clothes for a reasonable price on Amazon. Ever. I've never bought clothes on Amazon and likely never will
