Is Amazon.com Becoming a Monopoly?

It is swallowing up all the competition.

Borders.com went, Target.com, ToysRUs.com, now CDNOW.com, and a ton of online clothing stores sell through the Amazon portal.......where is it gonna end?

First I think you need to make money to become a Monopoly.

As long as they dont start buying up warehousing and wholesellers, they wont be a monopoly. They are just good at what they do.

But the fact about profits ...

I really hate the fact that they took over cdnow. That was one of the best designed site for searching out music and artists only to be replaced with the horrible amazon sh!t

true dat. But if you goto the Preferred Buyer's Club it has the old look-and-feel of the site and allows some of the old features.

I have bought tons of stuff from them. I think they are barely making ends meat so I don't see them as too powerful of a corporation.

Thanks soooooooo much. After CDNow was taken by amazon.com, I was forced to use allmusic.com which sucked but not as much as amazon.
