Is alcohol allowed in a carry-on bag for a flight?

My fiance thinks she needs to make bloody marys on the flight to Vegas tomorrow morning. I'm not clear if there are any rules/laws against it or not. The alcohol would be stored in a metal flask...

I've never done it.

When I flew home from Texas a few months ago... the couple on either side of me both had some

since the flight to vegas is so short for me (30-40 min), i usually get tuned up before the flight. might as well get the vegas adventure started early. the departure gate for vegas is right next to the bar. 😀 for $5, you can get a piss beer and a shot of your choice. whats funny though is if you order just a shot, its $6 for just that one shot.

What if I bought a bottle from a duty-free shop before boarding my flight? You cannot enter the shopping area without first checking-in anyway.. 😕

word to the wise, the refuse to let you fly if you are drunk. I almost got stuck in amsterdam when i was 18. I told the lady i was going to drink, she told me i better not.

It would be sealed.

I travel with Rum and they told me I had to check my booze.

No carry on for me 😀

I don't know but people buy alcohol on planes all the time, they give you a small bottle of vodka and a blood mary mix in a can for 5 bucks

they want to make money, you can't bring your own. you have to pay the $4 for beer and $5 for cocktails
if they catch you with your own, they'll spank your bum

i was on a flight in november (thanksgiving weekend) next to two drunk guys. they weren't rowdy, just messy. all of the guys spilled all over themselves on several occasions.

when i was going home for some break during college, i was next to this really drunk girl who could not stop making lewd comments and involving all of these single (and married) men. she was loud, annoying, and reeked of alcohol. that was not a fun flight :|

Do they allow people to carry matches or lighters on planes?
I hope not. I can see some lunatic carrying some high proof alcohol onboard and making a molotov cocktail. 🙁
