ok look dude, Whenever people post "is xxxxxxxxx.com down?" IT really isn't. And if it was, what good would it do to you? You still cant access the desired information?! So really now, why was this posted?

Because I wanted to know if anyone else had a similar problem. It's not often that I can't get to AIM, AOL.com and AIM.com. I wouldn't have posted this if I didn't care what other people thought...i just want to know if others are having the same problem.

Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed...

Check your hosts file, something might have gotten in there and blocked them. I know it happened to my brothers computer awhile ago.

jumpr, it works fine for me 🙂 try to find AOL website's IP and see if that works....

Check the end of your hosts file.... see if something has added those sites to it.
QHost virus blocks Google and a bunch of other sites.... maybe someone has written a variant of QHost???

IB your IP is blocked at someones router. The other night someone had blocked off a hugh segment of IP addresses on the internet because so much traffic was going through them. He thought his servers were being attacked. LOL
What you can try it do is write down your IP address....then go and do a refresh on your Cable modem to grab a new one. If the new IP address allows you to access those sites let me know the IP address and I will email it to them.

fasheezy people

they're both owned by AOL - probably at the same server farm. You figure it out, foo.

on the other hand, Stop posting "Is _______ Down?"

Nobody cares, the answer is always "NO", and its YOUR problem, not OURS. 🙂
